The Edge

The Edge has just arrived on stage with The Muse at The Glastonbury, but The Edge is definitely not cool. His name isn't far off being The Ledge, or The Hedge and not a million miles away from being The Fridge. However The Fridge would be a cool name. Fridges are pretty 'cool'.
I'm not sure at what point he became an Edge. Perhaps the name was coined during school by some adoring friends, or maybe he just invented it himself and demanded everyone used it as his name. Either way, it makes him sound like a prick.

When does he stop being The Edge? In casual conversation, do his friends still say the 'The' bit? Does he say 'Hi, I'm The Edge'?
What does his passport say?

Being in The U2 isn't a license to cool. I don't think U2 are cool, I'm sure some people do but it's surely not because of their names.
The Edge, Larry Mullen Jr, Adam Clayton (normal but in still in U2) and Bono.
Fucking Bono. What an almighty arsehole.

First Impressions of Our Two Pence

On First visitng this blog, you will most likely notice the overall shoddyness in choice of font and text style, reminiscent of the word-processed homework of an eleven year old, but with a classic coulour scheme of grey with light-grey shadow that simply yells boardroom meeting.

The injection of fun into this headline comes in the form of a two-pence piece. It cunningly replaces the letter o, but unfortunatly is undermined by the shading on said two-pence piece, clearly added by the parties responsible to blend the coin in with the text, it instead continues all around the coin, encicling it rather than shadowing it.

On noticing this clever visual play on the words "Our Two Pence", you may then wonder why the text reads "Our Two Pents." Further confusion will then no doubt occur upon reading the sub heading of "Our Two Pence", confusion dear reader, but not surprising.

For in era of fast technological advances, are we not to ask ourselves, 'How?'
How is it that now simply anybody can contribute to the information superhighway, yet bring nothing more to this vast tool of comunication than this, this low quality blog; and ultimately we must consider the question of responsibility for this great power that is the world wide web.

My Two Pents

I have a feeling that 'Our Two Pents' will not catch on, due to the spelling error in its title and the pessimism of this initial post.
